Journal ArticleDOI
Lipoprotein Apheresis for Lipoprotein(a)-Associated Cardiovascular Disease: Prospective 5 Years of Follow-Up and Apolipoprotein(a) Characterization
E. Roeseler,Ulrich Julius,Franz Heigl,Ralf Spitthoever,Dennis Heutling,Paul Breitenberger,Josef Leebmann,Walter Lehmacher,Pia R. Kamstrup,Børge G. Nordestgaard,Winfried Maerz,Asma Noureen,Konrad Schmidt,Florian Kronenberg,Andreas Heibges,Reinhard Klingel +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, a prospective observational multicenter study included 170 patients with Lp(a)-HLP and progressive cardiovascular disease (48.9 years median age at diagnosis) despite other cardiovascular risk factors, including low-density lipoprotein cholesterol had maximally been treated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nuclear deformation and neutron excess as competing effects for dipole strength in the pygmy region.
Ralph Massarczyk,Ronald Schwengner,F. Dönau,S. Frauendorf,M. Anders,Daniel Bemmerer,Roland Beyer,C. Bhatia,E. Birgersson,Maik Butterling,Z. Elekes,A. Ferrari,Matthew Gooden,R. Hannaske,Arnd R. Junghans,M. Kempe,J. H. Kelley,T. Kögler,A. Matic,M. Menzel,Stefan E. Müller,T. P. Reinhardt,M. Röder,Gencho Rusev,K. D. Schilling,Konrad Schmidt,Georg Schramm,Anton Tonchev,Werner Tornow,Andreas Wagner +29 more
TL;DR: A global parametrization of the strength in terms of neutron and proton numbers allowed us to derive a formula capable of predicting the summed E1 strengths in the pygmy region for a wide mass range of nuclides.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inelastic scattering of fast neutrons from excited states in 56Fe
Roland Beyer,Ronald Schwengner,R. Hannaske,R. Hannaske,Arnd R. Junghans,Ralph Massarczyk,Ralph Massarczyk,M. Anders,M. Anders,Daniel Bemmerer,A. Ferrari,A. Hartmann,T. Kögler,T. Kögler,M. Röder,M. Röder,Konrad Schmidt,Konrad Schmidt,Andreas Wagner +18 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the inelastic scattering of fast neutrons from 56Fe was studied at the photoneutron source nELBE and the neutron energies were determined on the basis of a time-of-flight measurement.
Journal ArticleDOI
Strengths of the resonances at 436, 479, 639, 661, and 1279 keV in the Ne 22 ( p , γ ) Na 23 reaction
Rosanna Depalo,Rosanna Depalo,F. Cavanna,Federico Ferraro,Alessandra Slemer,Alessandra Slemer,Tariq Al-Abdullah,Tariq Al-Abdullah,Shavkat Akhmadaliev,M. Anders,M. Anders,Daniel Bemmerer,Z. Elekes,Z. Elekes,Giovanni Mattei,Stefan Reinicke,Stefan Reinicke,Konrad Schmidt,Konrad Schmidt,Carlo Scian,L. Wagner,L. Wagner +21 more
TL;DR: In this article, a new experimental study of the strengths of the resonances at 436, 479, 639, 661, and 1279 keV proton beam energy is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lack of association of rs3798220 with small apolipoprotein(a) isoforms and high lipoprotein(a) levels in East and Southeast Asians
Mahmoud A. Khalifa,Asma Noureen,Kathrin Ertelthalner,Ahmad Reza Bandegi,Rhena Delport,Rhena Delport,Wance Firdaus,Finney S. Geethanjali,Finney S. Geethanjali,Kalpana Luthra,Kalpana Luthra,Orawan Makemaharn,Orawan Makemaharn,R. W. C. Pang,R. W. C. Pang,Abdel Halim Salem,Jun Sasaki,Wulf Schiefenhoevel,Arno Lingenhel,Florian Kronenberg,Gerd Utermann,Konrad Schmidt +21 more
TL;DR: This study shows that rs3798220 is no marker for short KIV-2 CNV alleles and high Lp(a) in East and Southeast Asians, although the haplotype background is shared with Europeans.
