TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe the use of a general methodology tailored to the evaluation of micro-scale meteorological models applied to flow and dispersion simulations in urban areas, which has been tested through a large modelling exercise involving many groups across Europe.
Journal ArticleDOI
The use of low-cost sensors for air quality analysis in road intersections
TL;DR: In this paper, the results of air quality tests recorded by a low-cost system were discussed and the quantitative contribution of traffic to total PM2.5 pollution was estimated using the Kolmogorov-Zurbenko filter applied on 1-min average PM 2.5 concentrations.
Journal Article
A concept of extension of the OnDynamic system with module for monitoring road traffic impact on the urban environment
The must model evaluation exercise: patterns in model performance
H.R. Olesen,Alexander Baklanov,John G. Bartzis,Fotios Barmpas,Ruwim Berkowicz,Krzysztof Brzozowski,Riccardo Buccolieri,B. Carissimo,Ana Margarida Costa,S Di Sabatino,Bernd Leitl,Michael Schatzmann +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a survey of the top 50 universities in the world in terms of the number of degrees they have published in the last decade: U.S. Univ. of Salento, Italy; CEREA, France; U.N. of Aveiro, Portugal; Univ.
Journal ArticleDOI
Monitoring road traffic participants' exposure to PM10 using a low-cost system.
TL;DR: It was observed that a significant slowdown in traffic in conditions of acceptable urban air quality led to a comparable level of exposure to that of standard traffic conditions and poor urban air pollution.
