TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used a long (150 ks) broadband (0.1-40 keV) BeppoSAX observation of the merging starburst system Arp 299 (=IC 694 + NGC 3690) to find unambiguous evidence of the presence of a deeply buried (NH 2.5 × 1024 cm-2) active galactic nucleus (AGN).

TL;DR: The flat-spectrum radio quasar PKS 1441+25 at a redshift of z = 0.940 is detected between 40 and 250 GeV with a significance of 25.5σ using the MAGIC telescopes.
