Proton elastic form-factor ratios to Q**2 = 3.5-GeV**2 by polarization transfer

V. A. Punjabi, +128 more
- 01 Jan 2005 -
TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured Pt and P, the transverse and longitudinal recoil proton polarization components, respectively, for the elastic epepreaction in the four-momentum transfer squared range of 0.5 to 3.5 GeV2.
Journal ArticleDOI

Recoil Polarization Measurements of the Proton Electromagnetic Form Factor Ratio to Q^2 = 8.5 GeV^2

A. J. R. Puckett, +106 more
TL;DR: New measurements of the proton electromagnetic form factor ratio using the recoil polarization method are reported, extending the range of Q2 for which G(E)(p) is accurately determined by more than 50%, which will provide significant constraints on models of nucleon structure in the nonperturbative regime.
Journal ArticleDOI

Final analysis of proton form factor ratio data at Q(2)=4.0, 4.8, and 5.6 GeV2

Andrew Puckett, +78 more
- 11 Apr 2012 -
TL;DR: In particular, the polarization transfer results have exposed the limits of applicability of the one-photon exchange approximation and highlighted the role of quark orbital angular momentum in the nucleon structure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurements of the electric form factor of the neutron up to Q 2=3.4 GeV2 using the reaction 3He→(e→,e′n) pp

S. Riordan, +123 more
TL;DR: The electric form factor of the neutron was determined from studies of the reaction in quasi-elastic kinematics in Hall A at Jefferson Lab as mentioned in this paper, where neutrons were detected in a magnetic spectrometer in coincidence with neutrons that were registered in a large solid angle detector.
