FungalTraits: a user-friendly traits database of fungi and fungus-like stramenopiles

Sergei Põlme, +135 more
- 01 Nov 2020 -
TL;DR: Fungal traits and character database FungalTraits operating at genus and species hypothesis levels is presented in this article, which includes 17 lifestyle related traits of fungal and Stramenopila genera.
Journal ArticleDOI

The role of long-term mineral and organic fertilisation treatment in changing pathogen and symbiont community composition in soil

TL;DR: It is indicated that organic fertilisers may not always benefit soil microbial community composition, and further studies are needed to understand how fertilisation affects mycorrhizal mutualists and pathogens.
Journal ArticleDOI

RNAi efficacy is enhanced by chronic dsRNA feeding in pollen beetle.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the ability of RNA interference in the pollen beetle Brassicogethes aeneus via anther feeding, and compared short-term (3 d) to chronic (17 d) feeding of various concentrations of dsRNA targeting αCOP (dsαCOP).
Journal ArticleDOI

Temporal and Cultivar-Specific Effects on Potato Root and Soil Fungal Diversity

TL;DR: Investigation of fungal diversity and community composition in the roots and soil of 21 potato cultivars using high-throughput sequencing demonstrates changes in soil and root fungal communities of potato over the growing season, as well as highlighting the importance of potato cultivar on rootfungal communities and abundance of pathogens.
