JET ITER-like wall - overview and experimental programme
G. F. Matthews,M. N. A. Beurskens,S. Brezinsek,M. Groth,E. Joffrin,A. Loving,M. Kear,M. L. Mayoral,Rudolf Neu,P. Prior,V. Riccardo,F. Rimini,Marek Rubel,G. Sips,E. Villedieu,P. de Vries,M. L. Watkins,Efda-Jet Contributors +17 more
TL;DR: In this article, the successful installation of the JET ITER-like wall and the realization of its technical objectives is reported, and an overview of the planned experimental program which has been optimized to exploit the new wall and other JET enhancements in 2011/12.
Journal ArticleDOI
High resolution Thomson scattering for Joint European Torus (JET)
Roberto Pasqualotto,P. Nielsen,C. Gowers,M. N. A. Beurskens,M. Kempenaars,T. Carlstrom,D. Johnson,Jet-Efda Contributors +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a Thomson scattering system is developed for Joint European Torus with 15"mm spatial resolution and a foreseen accuracy for temperature better than 15% at a density of 1019"m−3.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental studies of electron transport
F Ryter,C. Angioni,M. N. A. Beurskens,S Cirant,G. T. Hoang,G. M. D. Hogeweij,F. Imbeaux,A. Jacchia,P. Mantica,W. Suttrop,G. Tardini +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors focused on electron heat transport in conventional tokamak plasmas and showed that the non-dimensional gradient length of the electron temperature profiles R/L-Te, is almost independent of the devices and varies little with plasma parameters.

Lawson,P. J. Lomas,C.G. Lowry,I. Nunes,A. Sirinnelli,A. C. C. Sips,M.F. Stamp,S. Wiesen,Jet-Efda Contributors +41 more
TL;DR: In this article, the impact on confinement and power load of a high-shape 2.5-MA ELMy H-mode scenario at JET-C was investigated and an unexpected and significant change was reported on the decrease in pedestal confinement but is partially recovered with the injection of nitrogen.
