Nuno R. Faria, +78 more
- 15 Jun 2017 -

Estabelecimento e transmissão crítica do vírus Zika no Brasil e nas Américas/Establishment and cryptic transmission of Zika virus in Brazil and the Americas

TL;DR: Analyses of viral genomes with ecological and epidemiological data yield an estimate that ZikV was present in northeast Brazil by February 2014 and is likely to have disseminated from there, nationally and internationally, before the first detection of ZIKV in the Americas.

Global change in hepatitis C virus prevalence and cascade of care between 2015 and 2020: a modelling study.

Sarah Blach, +257 more
TL;DR: In this article , a literature review, Delphi process, and mathematical modelling were used to estimate hepatitis C virus (HCV) prevalence (viraemic infection, defined as HCV RNA-positive cases) and the cascade of care among people of all ages (age ≥ 0 years from birth) for the period between Jan 1, 2015 and Dec 31, 2030.
Journal ArticleDOI

First case of SARS-COV-2 sequencing in cerebrospinal fluid of a patient with suspected demyelinating disease.

TL;DR: A case of a patient with mild respiratory symptoms and neurological manifestations compatible with clinically isolated syndrome is reported, suggesting a possible association of SARS-COV-2 infection with neurological symptoms of demyelinating disease, even in the absence of relevant upper respiratory tract infection signs.
Journal ArticleDOI
