Tan,Greg Elgar,Trevor Hawkins,Byrappa Venkatesh,Daniel S. Rokhsar,Sydney Brenner +40 more
TL;DR: The Fugu rubripes genome has been sequenced to over 95% coverage, and more than 80% of the assembly is in multigene-sized scaffolds as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Whole genome, transcriptome and methylome profiling enhances actionable target discovery in high-risk pediatric cancer.

Ziegler,Paul G Ekert,Mark J. Cowley,Mark J. Cowley +61 more
TL;DR: Comprehensive molecular profiling resolved the molecular basis of virtually all high-risk cancers, leading to clinical benefit in some patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Toward Routine Automatic Pathway Discovery from On-line Scientific Text Abstracts.
See-Kiong Ng,Marie Wong +1 more
TL;DR: This work describes a prototype system for automatic pathway discovery from on-line text abstracts, combining technologies that retrieve research abstracts from online sources, extract relevant information from the free texts, and present the extracted information graphically and intuitively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fast and accurate HLA typing from short-read next-generation sequence data with xHLA.
Chao Xie,Zhen Xuan Yeo,Marie Wong,Jason Piper,Tao Long,Ewen F. Kirkness,William H. Biggs,Ken Bloom,Stephen R. Spellman,Cynthia Vierra-Green,Colleen Brady,Richard H. Scheuermann,Richard H. Scheuermann,Amalio Telenti,Sally Howard,Suzanne Brewerton,Yaron Turpaz,J. Craig Venter +17 more
TL;DR: An algorithm is introduced, xHLA, that iteratively refines the mapping results at the amino acid level to achieve 99–100% four-digit typing accuracy for both class I and II HLA genes, taking only ∼3 min to process a 30× whole-genome BAM file on a desktop computer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Brief Report: Potent clinical and radiological response to larotrectinib in TRK fusion-driven high-grade glioma.
David S. Ziegler,David S. Ziegler,Marie Wong,Chelsea Mayoh,Amit Kumar,Amit Kumar,Maria Tsoli,Emily Mould,Vanessa Tyrrell,Dong-Anh Khuong-Quang,Mark Pinese,Velimir Gayevskiy,Richard J. Cohn,Richard J. Cohn,Loretta Lau,Mark Reynolds,Michael C. Cox,Andrew J. Gifford,Michael Rodriguez,Mark J. Cowley,Mark J. Cowley,Paul G Ekert,Glenn M. Marshall,Glenn M. Marshall,Michelle Haber +24 more
TL;DR: The first case of a TRK fusion-driven HGG treated with larotrectinib—the first selective pan-TRK inhibitor in clinical development is reported, and it is reported that this 3-year-old girl had failed multiple therapies including chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
