Journal ArticleDOI
Prevalence, management, and outcomes of preterm prelabour rupture of the membranes of women in Canada.
Graeme N. Smith,Christine Rafuse,Nitasha Anand,Barb Brennan,Greg Connors,Joan Crane,William D. Fraser,Robert Gratton,Jean-Marie Moutquin,Heather Scott,Carole Schneider,Mark Walker +11 more
TL;DR: The increased neonatal morbidity associated with PPROM appears to be inversely related to GA, and increased risk of chorioamnionitis is related to increased time to delivery.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prevalence and progression of diabetes in mitochondrial disease.
Roger G. Whittaker,Andrew M. Schaefer,Robert McFarland,Robert W. Taylor,Mark Walker,Douglass M. Turnbull +5 more
TL;DR: Although patients carrying the m.3243A>G mutation account for the majority of cases of diabetes secondary to mtDNA mutations, several other genotypes are also associated with the development of diabetes, some with high penetrance and all show a gradual progression to insulin requirement.
Patent
System for coupling roller shade tubes
Joseph M. Nichols,Mark Walker +1 more
TL;DR: A coupling assembly for a multiple-tube roller shade includes a support assembly for rotatably supporting and connecting adjacently located tube-end portions and a clutch mechanism providing relative rotation therebetween as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cesarean section and postpartum depression in a cohort of Chinese women with a high cesarean delivery rate.
TL;DR: C Cesarean section is associated with increased risk of PPD in Chinese women with a high cesarean delivery rate, and this risk was maintained after the authors adjusted for potential confounding factors or considered cesAREan delivery by social indications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Structure and tRNA Specificity of MibB, a Lantibiotic Dehydratase from Actinobacteria Involved in NAI-107 Biosynthesis
Manuel A. Ortega,Yue Hao,Mark Walker,Stefano Donadio,Margherita Sosio,Satish K. Nair,Wilfred A. van der Donk +6 more
TL;DR: Evidence is provided for a common tRNA(Glu)-dependent dehydration mechanism, paving the way for the characterization of lantibiotics from various phyla.
