Journal ArticleDOI

Fundamental properties of unperturbed haematopoiesis from stem cells in vivo

TL;DR: A mouse model allowing inducible genetic labelling of the most primitive Tie2+ HSCs in bone marrow is devised, and label progression along haematopoietic development is quantified by limiting dilution analysis and data-driven modelling, which uncovers fundamental differences between the normal maintenance of the haematography system, its regulation by challenge, and its re-establishment after transplantation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Disparate Individual Fates Compose Robust CD8+ T Cell Immunity

TL;DR: By means of in vivo fate mapping, a striking variability of immune responses derived from individual CD8+ T cells is found and it is shown that robust acute and recall immunity requires the initial recruitment of multiple precursors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Competing feedback loops shape IL-2 signaling between helper and regulatory T lymphocytes in cellular microenvironments

TL;DR: The present findings explain how IL-2 can play two disctinct roles in immune regulation and point to a hitherto largely unexplored spatiotemporal complexity of cytokine signaling.
