Acoustic detection of high‐energy particle showers

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the acoustic radiation produced by high energy protons colliding with liquid water and found that only a small fraction of the proton pulse energy (some of 1% to 2%) is de...
Journal ArticleDOI

Intrinsic alignment as an RSD contaminant in the DESI survey

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors measured the tidal alignment of the major axes of luminous red galaxies (LRGs) from the Legacy Imaging Survey and used it to infer the artificial redshift-space distortion signature that will arise from an orientation-dependent, surface-brightness selection in the DESI survey.

Measurement of the Average phi Multiplicity in B Meson Decay

Bernard Aubert, +603 more
- 31 Mar 2004 -
TL;DR: In this article, the average multiplicity of {phi} mesons in B{sup 0, {bar B}{sup 0} and B{Sup {+-}} meson decays was measured using 17.6 fb{sup -1} of data taken at the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e{sup +}e{sup-} storage ring at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center.
