The Nonuniform Hard-Rod Fluid Revisited

TL;DR: In this paper, the statistical mechanics of the one-dimensional nonuniform pure hard core fluid is formulated in the spirit of the Reiss-Frisch-Lebowitz (RFL) scaled particle theory.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chromatin state and microRNA determine different gene expression dynamics responsive to TNF stimulation

TL;DR: Gene expression profiles in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) after the Tumor Necrosis Factor stimulus suggested that the different gene expression patterns upon external stimulus were regulated by a combination of multi-layer regulators.
Journal ArticleDOI

Small C-terminal Domain Phosphatase 3 Dephosphorylates the Linker Sites of Receptor-regulated Smads (R-Smads) to Ensure Transforming Growth Factor β (TGFβ)-mediated Germ Layer Induction in Xenopus Embryos

TL;DR: It is suggested that the maternal SCP3 serves as a vegetally enriched, intrinsic factor to ensure a prepared status of Smads for their activation by the upcoming ligands during germ layer induction of Xenopus embryos.
Journal ArticleDOI

SFSSClass: an integrated approach for miRNA based tumor classification

TL;DR: The proposed SFSSClass algorithm is developed which judiciously integrates a biclustering technique for simultaneous feature (miRNA) and sample (tissue) selection, the cancer-miRNA network and a classifier and is found to be significantly improved with respect to the other existing approaches.
