Characterizing microRNA-mediated modulation of gene expression noise and its effect on synthetic gene circuits
TL;DR: It is shown that competing RNAs and the composition of miRNA response elements (MREs) play important roles in modulating gene expression noise and how miRNAs can be utilized to modulate the behavior of synthetic gene circuits.
Journal ArticleDOI
ProteoMirExpress: Inferring MicroRNA and Protein-centered Regulatory Networks from High-throughput Proteomic and mRNA Expression Data
Jing Qin,Mulin Jun Li,Panwen Wang,Nai Sum Wong,Maria Pik Wong,Zhengyuan Xia,George S.W. Tsao,Michael Q. Zhang,Michael Q. Zhang,Junwen Wang +9 more
TL;DR: A web server that integrates proteomic and mRNA expression data together to infer mi RNA-centered regulatory networks and provides more comprehensive miRNA- centered regulatory networks, ProteoMirExpress is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Novel Markov model of induced pluripotency predicts gene expression changes in reprogramming
TL;DR: A novel Markov model, stepwise reprogramming Markov (SRM) model, with simpler gene regulation rules is proposed and explored various properties of the model with Monte Carlo simulation to help uncover the basic mechanism of reprograming and improve the efficiency of converting somatic cells to iPSCs.
