Journal ArticleDOI

Regulation of cell-cell junctions by the cytoskeleton.

TL;DR: This work has revealed the important contribution of acto-myosin, microtubules and cell tension to adherens junction formation, cell differentiation and tissue reshaping/remodeling in animal cell-cell adhesion.
Journal ArticleDOI

Strength Dependence of Cadherin-Mediated Adhesions

TL;DR: A quantitative analysis of the cells adhering on the cadherin-coated surfaces shows that forces are correlated with the formation of Cadherin adhesions, and these findings are consistent with a mechanosensitive regulation of cadher in-mediated intercellular junctions through the cellular contractile machinery.
Journal ArticleDOI

Traction forces exerted through N-cadherin contacts.

TL;DR: The present study focuses on the determination of force transduction through cadherins at a single cell level and the role of adherens junctions in force‐regulation processes.
