Boutros,Paul C. Boutros +79 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that intensified treatment of genomically aggressive localized prostate cancer may improve cure rates and numerous molecular aberrations were prognostic for disease recurrence, including several DNA methylation events, and a signature comprised of these aberration outperformed well-described prognostic biomarkers.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: Ultra-deep total RNA-seq on 144 tumors with rich clinical annotation revealed a linear transcriptomic subtype associated with the aggressive intraductal carcinoma sub-histology and a fusion profile that differentiates localized from metastatic disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
Risk SNP-Mediated Promoter-Enhancer Switching Drives Prostate Cancer through lncRNA PCAT19
Junjie Tony Hua,Junjie Tony Hua,Musaddeque Ahmed,Haiyang Guo,Yuzhe Zhang,Yuzhe Zhang,Yuzhe Zhang,Sujun Chen,Sujun Chen,Fraser Soares,Jennifer Q. Lu,Jennifer Q. Boutros,Housheng Hansen He,Housheng Hansen He +34 more
TL;DR: Findings reveal a risk SNP-mediated promoter-enhancer switching mechanism underlying both initiation and progression of aggressive PCa.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modulation of long noncoding RNAs by risk SNPs underlying genetic predispositions to prostate cancer
Haiyang Guo,Musaddeque Ahmed,Fan Zhang,Cindy Q. Yao,SiDe Li,Yi Liang,Junjie Tony Hua,Junjie Tony Hua,Fraser Soares,Yifei Sun,Jens Langstein,Jens Langstein,Yuchen Li,Christine Poon,Swneke D. Walsh,Housheng Hansen He,Housheng Hansen He +36 more
TL;DR: Findings suggest that modulating lncRNA expression is an important mechanism for risk-associated SNPs in promoting prostate transformation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Onco-Multi-OMICS Approach: A New Frontier in Cancer Research.
TL;DR: Different multi-OMICS approaches involving the interrogation of the cancer cells/tissues in multiple dimensions have the potential to uncover the intricate molecular mechanism underlying different phenotypic manifestations of cancer hallmarks such as metastasis and angiogenesis.
