Engineering RNA for Targeted siRNA Delivery and Medical Application
TL;DR: Different RNA-based approaches for diagnosis, prevention and treatment of human disease are covered, with a focus on the latest developments of non-viral carriers of siRNA for delivery in vivo.
Journal ArticleDOI
The ErbB4 CYT2 variant protects EGFR from ligand-induced degradation to enhance cancer cell motility

Parker,Andrew Tutt,Simon Ameer-Beg,Simon Ameer-Beg,Tony Ng +42 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) was found to interact directly with the CYT1 and CYT2 variants of ErbB4 and the membrane-anchored intracellular domain.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Phosphorylation on EGFR Dimer Stability Probed by Single-Molecule Dynamics and FRET/FLIM
Oana Coban,Laura C. Zanetti-Dominguez,Daniel R. Matthews,Daniel J. Rolfe,Gregory Weitsman,Paul R. Barber,Jody Barbeau,Viviane Devauges,Florian Kampmeier,Martyn Winn,Borivoj Vojnovic,Borivoj Vojnovic,Peter J. Parker,Peter J. Parker,Keith A. Lidke,Diane S. Lidke,Simon Ameer-Beg,Marisa L. Martin-Fernandez,Tony Ng +18 more
TL;DR: A modest drug-induced increase in the fraction/stability of the EGFR homodimer may have a significant biological impact on the tumor cell’s proliferation potential and results suggest that both the conformation of the extracellular domain and phosphorylation status of the receptor are involved in modulating the stability of the dimer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ganglioside partitioning and aggregation in phase-separated monolayers characterized by bodipy GM1 monomer/dimer emission.
TL;DR: The results demonstrate the complexity of GM1 partitioning and illustrate the utility of complementary AFM and high spatial resolution two-color fluorescence experiments for understanding Bodipy GM1 aggregation and distribution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Conformational heterogeneity in RNA polymerase observed by single-pair FRET microscopy
Oana Coban,Don C. Lamb,Don C. Lamb,Evgeny Zaychikov,Hermann Heumann,G. Ulrich Nienhaus,G. Ulrich Nienhaus +6 more
TL;DR: Kinetic, structural, and single-molecule transcription measurements suggest that RNA polymerase can adopt many different conformations during elongation, and clear evidence was obtained thatRNA polymerase exists in multiple conformations among which it fluctuates.
