Journal ArticleDOI

A diffusion tensor imaging study of fasciculi in schizophrenia.

TL;DR: Within the patient group, the propensity to experience auditory hallucinations was associated with relatively increased fractional anisotropy in superior longitudinal fasciculi and in the anterior cingulum, whereas within the healthy comparison subjects, this was not the case.
Journal ArticleDOI

Acute sleep deprivation enhances the brain's response to hedonic food stimuli: an fMRI study.

TL;DR: Examination of brain activation after sleep and sleep deprivation in response to images of food provides evidence that acute sleep loss enhances hedonic stimulus processing in the brain underlying the drive to consume food, independent of plasma glucose levels.
Journal ArticleDOI

Distinct Roles of Prefrontal Cortical Subregions in the Iowa Gambling Task

TL;DR: A version of the Iowa Gambling Task specifically modified for event-related functional magnetic resonance imaging is developed and validated, revealing that deciding advantageously under initially ambiguous conditions may require both continuous and dynamic processes involving both the ventral and dorsal prefrontal cortex.
