TL;DR: It is reported here that inherited variants in the SORL1 neuronal sorting receptor are associated with late-onset Alzheimer disease, and it is shown that SOR l1 directs trafficking of APP into recycling pathways and that when SORl1 is underexpressed, APP is sorted into Aβ-generating compartments.

Changes in the balance between motor cortical excitation and inhibition in focal, task specific dystonia.
TL;DR: It is concluded that in focal task specific dystonia there is shift in the balance between excitation and inhibition in local circuits of the motor cortex which leads to a net decrease in the amount of short latency suppression.

Changes in excitability of motor cortical circuitry in patients with parkinson's disease
TL;DR: There may be abnormalities of motor cortical inhibitory mechanisms in patients with Parkinson's disease that are not readily detected using threshold or silent period measurements alone, and it is suggested that the silent period was significantly prolonged when ON compared with OFF.

TL;DR: In FRDA, the time until confinement to wheelchair was shorter in patients with earlier disease onset, suggesting that patients with long GAA repeats and early disease onset have a poor prognosis, and in MSA, later age of onset increased the risk of rapid progression and death.
