Journal ArticleDOI

Quantitative spatial magnetization distribution in iron oxide nanocubes and nanospheres by polarized small-angle neutron scattering

TL;DR: In this article, by means of polarized small-angle neutron scattering, the authors resolved the long-standing challenge of determining the magnetization distribution in magnetic nanoparticles in absolute units.
Journal ArticleDOI

The instrument suite of the European Spallation Source

Ken Haste Andersen, +202 more
TL;DR: The European Spallation Source (ESS) as mentioned in this paper consists of a high-power accelerator and target station, providing a unique long-pulse time structure of slow neutrons.
Journal ArticleDOI

Coexistence of superconductivity and ferromagnetism in P-doped EuFe$_2$As$_2$

TL;DR: In this article, the magnetic structure of the Eu2+ moments in the superconducting EuFe2(As 1-xPx)2 sample with x = 0.15 has been determined using element specific x-ray resonant magnetic scattering.
Journal ArticleDOI

Magnetization-steps in Y2CoMnO6 double perovskite: The role of antisite disorder

TL;DR: In this paper, a paramagnetic-ferromagnetic phase transition occurs in the double perovskite Y2CoMnO6 which has been recently identified as a multiferroic.
Journal ArticleDOI

First observation of superstructure reflections by neutron diffraction due to oxygen ordering in YBa2Cu3O6.35.

TL;DR: For the first time nonmagnetic superstructure reflections have been observed by neutron diffraction in a 0.1-cm{sup 3} YBa{sub 2}Cu{sub 3}O{sub 6.35} single crystal.
