Transmission of SARS-CoV-2 Omicron VOC subvariants BA.1 and BA.2: Evidence from Danish Households

TL;DR: It is concluded that Omicron BA.2 is inherently substantially more transmissible than BA.1, and that it also possesses immune-evasive properties that further reduce the protective effect of vaccination against infection, but do not increase its transmissibility from vaccinated individuals with breakthrough infections.
Journal ArticleDOI

SCCmecFinder, a Web-Based Tool for Typing of Staphylococcal Cassette Chromosome mec in Staphylococcus aureus Using Whole-Genome Sequence Data

TL;DR: The development and evaluation of SCCmecFinder, a new bioinformatic tool that includes most of the needs for infection control professionals and researchers regarding the interpretation of S CCmec elements, is described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Association of Disease Severity With Skin Microbiome and Filaggrin Gene Mutations in Adult Atopic Dermatitis.

TL;DR: An altered microbiome composition in patients with AD in nonlesionalskin, lesional skin, as well as nose, suggests a global influence of AD.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel SCCmec type XIII (9A) identified in an ST152 methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.

TL;DR: A novel staphylococcal cassette chromosome mec (SCCmec) element is identified in an ST152 methicillin-resistant StAPHylococcus aureus (MRSA) isolate by combining Illumina and MinION sequencing.
