Journal ArticleDOI
Noisy galvanic vestibular stimulation modulates the amplitude of EEG synchrony patterns.
TL;DR: It is proposed that modulation of neural oscillations is a potential mechanism for the previously-described cognitive and motor effects of vestibular stimulation, and noisy galvanic vestibul stimulation may provide an additional non-invasive means for neuromodulation of functional brain networks.
Journal ArticleDOI
Endovascular thrombectomy versus standard bridging thrombolytic with endovascular thrombectomy within 4·5 h of stroke onset: an open-label, blinded-endpoint, randomised non-inferiority trial
Peter Mitchell,Bernard Yan,Leonid Churilov,Richard Dowling,Steven Bush,Andrew Bivard,Xiao Huo,Guoqing Wang,Shiyong Zhang,Mai Duy Ton,Dennis Cordato,Timothy Kleinig,Henry Hin Kui Ma,Ronil V. TL;DR: The clinical outcomes of patients with stroke with large vessel occlusion treated with direct endovascular thrombectomy within 4·5 h would be non-inferior compared with the outcomes of those treated with standard bridging therapy, as well as the intention-to-treat population, were hypothesized.
Journal ArticleDOI
New and expanding ventricular hemorrhage predicts poor outcome in acute intracerebral hemorrhage.
Vignan Yogendrakumar,Timothy Ramsay,Dean Fergusson,Andrew M. Demchuk,Richard I. Aviv,David Rodriguez-Luna,Carlos A. Molina,Yolanda Silva,Imanuel Dzialowski,Adam Kobayashi,Jean-Martin Boulanger,Cheemun Lum,Gord Gubitz,Padma Srivastava,Jayanta Roy,Carlos S. Kase,Rohit Bhatia,Michael D. Hill,Andrew D. Warren,Christopher D. Anderson,Mahmut Edip Gurol,S.M. Greenberg,Anand Viswanathan,Jonathan Rosand,Joshua N. Goldstein,Dar Dowlatshahi +25 more
TL;DR: IVH expansion as small as 1 mL or any new IVH is strongly predictive of poor outcome, which may assist clinicians with bedside prognostication and could be incorporated into definitions of hematoma expansion to inform future ICH treatment trials.
Journal ArticleDOI
Brain and cord myelin water imaging: a progressive multiple sclerosis biomarker.
Shannon H. Kolind,Arshia Seddigh,Anna J.E. Combes,Bretta Russell-Schulz,Roger Tam,Vignan Yogendrakumar,Sean C.L. Deoni,Naomi Sibtain,Anthony Traboulsee,Steven Williams,Gareth J. Barker,Peter Brex +11 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that mcDESPOT can be used to measure myelin and atrophy in the brain and spinal cord and correlate well with clinical disability scores in PPMS representing cognitive, fine motor and ambulatory disability.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In this article , the authors performed a prospective, randomized, open-label, adaptive, international trial involving patients with stroke due to occlusion of the internal carotid artery or the first segment of the middle cerebral artery.
