Journal ArticleDOI

Fluorescence detected circular dichroism (FDCD) for supramolecular host-guest complexes.

TL;DR: It is found that FDCD can be an excellent choice for common supramolecular applications, e.g. for the detection and chirality sensing of chiral organic analytes, as well as for reaction monitoring, and simultaneous FDCD- and ECD-based chiroptical characterization of emissive supramolcular systems will be of general benefit for characterizing fluorescent, chiral supramolescular systems due to the higher information content obtained by their combined use.
Journal ArticleDOI

Encapsulation of semiconductor quantum dots into the central cores of block copolymer cylindrical and toroidal micelles

TL;DR: In this paper, the formation of cylindrical and toroidal micelles with QDs uniformly encapsulated into the central cores of PS-b-PEO cores was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

2,3-Dibutoxynaphthalene-based tetralactam macrocycles for recognizing precious metal chloride complexes.

TL;DR: The macrocycle containing isophthalamide bridges can bind square-planar chloride coordination complexes of gold(III), platinum(II), and palladium(II) in CDCl3, while the macrocycle with 2,6-pyridine dicarboxamide bridging units cannot.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Different Functional Carbon Nanotubes on the Tribological Behaviors of Poly (Furfuryl Alcohol)–Derived Carbon Nanocomposites

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of functional groups and dispersion of MWNTs used in the nanocomoposites on tribological behaviors of the resultant nanocomposites were investigated using a block-on-ring wear tester under dry friction conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Monte Carlo simulation of the aggregation of rod–flexible triblock copolymers in a thin film

TL;DR: In this paper, the aggregation of rod-flexible ABA and BAB triblock copolymers in a thin film was studied as a function of varying the rigidity (eta) and the length of the rod block by Monte Carlo simulation.
