Elledge,Stephen J. Elledge +45 more
TL;DR: A systematic characterization of the humoral response to severe acute respiratory system coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) epitopes has yet to be performed, important for understanding the immunogenicity of the viral proteome and the basis for cross-reactivity with the common-cold coronaviruses.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of renal allograft rejection by urinary proteomic analysis.
William Clarke,Benjamin C. Silverman,Zhen Zhang,Daniel W. Chan,Andrew S. Klein,Ernesto P. Molmenti +5 more
TL;DR: Biomarker candidates exist in urine that have the ability to distinguish between renal transplant patients with no rejection and those with acute rejection, and these biomarker candidates are the basis for development of a noninvasive method of diagnosing acute rejection without the morbidity and mortality associated with needle biopsy.
Journal ArticleDOI
COVID-19 serology at population scale: SARS-CoV-2-specific antibody responses in saliva.
Nora Pisanic,Pranay R. Randad,Kate Kruczynski,Yukari C. Manabe,David L. Thomas,Andrew Pekosz,Sabra L. Klein,Michael J. Betenbaugh,William Clarke,Oliver Laeyendecker,Oliver Laeyendecker,Patrizio Caturegli,H. Benjamin Larman,Barbara Detrick,Jessica K. Fairley,Amy C Sherman,Nadine Rouphael,Srilatha Edupuganti,Douglas A. Granger,Steve W. Granger,Matthew H. Collins,Christopher D. Heaney +21 more
TL;DR: Algorithms employing a combination of the IgG responses to N and S antigens result in high diagnostic accuracy by as early as 10 DPSO, and support the use of saliva-based antibody testing as a noninvasive and scalable alternative to blood- based antibody testing.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparative performance of five commercially available serologic assays to detect antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 and identify individuals with high neutralizing titers.
Eshan U. Patel,Eshan U. Patel,Evan M. Bloch,William Clarke,Yu Hsiang Hsieh,Denali Boon,Yolanda Eby,Reinaldo E Fernandez,Owen R Baker,Morgan Keruly,Charles S. Kirby,Ethan Klock,Kirsten Littlefield,Jernelle Miller,Haley A Schmidt,Philip Sullivan,Estelle Piwowar-Manning,Ruchee Shrestha,Andrew D. Redd,Andrew D. Redd,Richard E. Rothman,David Sullivan,Shmuel Shoham,Arturo Casadevall,Thomas C. Quinn,Thomas C. Quinn,Andrew Pekosz,Aaron A.R. Tobian,Oliver Laeyendecker,Oliver Laeyendecker +29 more
TL;DR: The diagnostic accuracy of five commercially available EIAs (Abbott, Euroimmun, EDI, ImmunoDiagnostics, and Roche) for detection of IgG or total antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 and neutralizing antibodies (nAbs) was evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Concomitant socioeconomic, behavioral, and biological factors associated with the disproportionate HIV infection burden among Black men who have sex with men in 6 U.S. cities.
Kenneth H. Mayer,Lei Wang,Beryl A. Koblin,Sharon Mannheimer,Manya Magnus,Carlos del Rio,Susan Buchbinder,Leo Wilton,Vanessa Cummings,Christopher Chauncey Watson,Estelle Piwowar-Manning,Charlotte A. Gaydos,Susan H. Eshleman,William Clarke,Ting Yuan Liu,Cherry Mao,Samuel Griffith,Darrell P. Wheeler +17 more
TL;DR: Culturally-tailored programs that address economic disenfranchisement, increase engagement in care, screen for STIs, in conjunction with safer sex prevention interventions, may help to decrease further transmission in this heavily affected community.
