Battery-free, wireless sensors for full-body pressure and temperature mapping
Seungyong Han,Seungyong Han,Jeonghyun Kim,Jeonghyun Kim,Sang Min Won,Yinji Ma,Yinji Ma,Daeshik Kang,Zhaoqian Xie,Zhaoqian Xie,Kyu-Tae Lee,Ha Uk Chung,Anthony Banks,Seunghwan Min,Seung Yun Heo,Charles R. Davies,Jung Woo Lee,Jung Woo Lee,Chi Hwan Lee,Bong Hoon Kim,Kan Li,Yadong Zhou,Yadong Zhou,Chen Wei,Xue Feng,Yonggang Huang,John A. Rogers,John A. Rogers +27 more
TL;DR: Materials, device designs, wireless power delivery and communication strategies, and overall system architectures for skin-like, battery-free sensors of temperature and pressure that can be used across the entire body are introduced.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fluorescence quenching of quantum dots by gold nanoparticles: a potential long range spectroscopic ruler.
TL;DR: A combination of static and time-resolved fluorescence measurements suggests that the quenching is due to an increase in the nonradiative decay rate of QD emission, which may be useful for developing extended spectroscopic rulers in the future.
Journal ArticleDOI
Faceted Gold Nanorods: Nanocuboids, Convex Nanocuboids, and Concave Nanocuboids.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that cylindrical Au nanorods undergo controlled facet evolution during their overgrowth in the presence of Cu(2+) and cationic surfactants, resulting in the formation of anisotropic nanostructures enclosed by well-defined facets, such as low- index faceting nanocuboids and high-index faceting convex nanocUBoids and concave nanOCuboids.
Journal ArticleDOI
DNA-enabled rational design of fluorescence-Raman bimodal nanoprobes for cancer imaging and therapy
Suchetan Pal,Angana Ray,Chrysafis Andreou,Yadong Zhou,Tatini Rakshit,Marek T. Wlodarczyk,Masatomo Maeda,Ricardo Toledo-Crow,Naxhije Berisha,Naxhije Berisha,Jiang Yang,Hsiao-Ting Hsu,Anton Oseledchyk,Jagannath Mondal,Shengli Zou,Moritz F. Kircher +15 more
TL;DR: The authors developed a DNA based design principle for Raman-Fluorescence bimodal nanoparticles and demonstrate real-time, high precision image-guided tumor resections and photothermal ablation of cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Programmable Supra-Assembly of a DNA Surface Adapter for Tunable Chiral Directional Self-Assembly of Gold Nanorods.
Xiang Lan,Zhaoming Su,Yadong Zhou,Travis A. Meyer,Yonggang Ke,Qiangbin Wang,Wah Chiu,Na Liu,Na Liu,Shengli Zou,Hao Yan,Yan Liu +11 more
TL;DR: This work presents a versatile DNA surface adapter that can programmably self-assemble into various chiral supramolecular architectures, thereby regulating the chiral directional "bonding" of gold nanorods decorated by the surface adapter.
