Journal ArticleDOI

TargetMine, an Integrated Data Warehouse for Candidate Gene Prioritisation and Target Discovery

TL;DR: An objective protocol for target prioritisation using TargetMine is proposed and the results show that the protocol can identify known disease-associated genes with high precision and coverage.
Journal ArticleDOI

Inhibitory Roles of Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 3 in Antitumor Immunity during Carcinogen-Induced Lung Tumorigenesis

TL;DR: It is shown that Stat3 blunts rather than supports antitumor immunity in carcinogen-induced lung tumorigenesis, and human non-small cell lung cancer cells in which Stat3 was silenced displayed an enhancement of proinflammatory chemokine production, reduced expression of MHC class I antigen, and increased susceptibility to NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Impact of quality trimming on the efficiency of reads joining and diversity analysis of Illumina paired-end reads in the context of QIIME1 and QIIME2 microbiome analysis frameworks

TL;DR: Quality trimming increased the number of good reads and abundance measurement accuracy in Illumina paired-end reads of the V3-V4 hypervariable region and suggests that the pre-analysis trimming step should be included before the application of QIime1 or QIIME2.
Journal ArticleDOI

An integrative data analysis platform for gene set analysis and knowledge discovery in a data warehouse framework.

TL;DR: To enhance the scope of TargetMine from target prioritization to broad-based knowledge discovery, a new auxiliary toolkit to assist with data analysis and visualization in TargetMine is developed.
