High Glucose and Lipopolysaccharide Prime NLRP3 Inflammasome via ROS/TXNIP Pathway in Mesangial Cells

TL;DR: It is revealed that high glucose and lipopolysaccharide activate ROS/TXNIP/ NLRP3/IL-1β inflammasome signaling in glomerular mesangial cells, suggesting a mechanism by which inflammation may contribute to the development of diabetic nephropathy.

An Overview of Deep-Learning-Based Audio-Visual Speech Enhancement and Separation

TL;DR: This paper provides a systematic survey of this research topic, focusing on the main elements that characterise the systems in the literature: acoustic features; visual features; deep learning methods; fusion techniques; training targets; and objective functions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lévy noise-induced stochastic resonance in a bistable system

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the stochastic resonance phenomenon induced by Levy noise in a second-order and under-damped bistable system and derived the signal-to-noise ratio for different parameters.

- 27 Oct 2009 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report J/psi spectra for transverse momenta P-T > 5 GeV/c at mid-rapidity in p + p and Au + Au collisions at root s(NN) = 200 GeV.

Agricultural practices and sustainable livelihoods: Rural transformation within the Loess Plateau, China

TL;DR: In this paper, a conceptual framework for agricultural practices and sustainable rural livelihoods for the Yangou watershed within the Chinese Loess Plateau is presented and discussed, where agricultural practices that include building terraces, returning sloped farmlands to forestland and grassland, and expanding orchards all have had positive and significant impacts on farmers' livelihood assets, strategies, outcomes, and vulnerabilities.
