Large-gap quantum spin Hall states in decorated stanene grown on a substrate

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of substrate conditions on the electronic properties of two-dimensional stanene has been investigated and it has been shown that varying substrate conditions considerably tunes the electronic property of stanenes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Model for topological phononics and phonon diode

TL;DR: In this article, the authors derived a Schrodinger-like equation of phonons, where topology-related quantities, time-reversal symmetry, and its breaking can be naturally introduced similar to the process for electrons.
Journal ArticleDOI

Colloidal Synthesis and Applications of Plasmonic Metal Nanoparticles

TL;DR: The applications of plasmonic nanoparticles in photocatalysis, surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS), and devices are used as excellent examples showcasing the advantages of these nanoparticles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Strangeness Enhancement In Cu-cu And Au-au Collisions At √s Nn=200gev

G. Agakishiev, +372 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors reported new measurements of mid-rapidity yields for the Lambda, (Lambda) over bar, K-S(0), Xi, (Xi), Omega, (Omega), Omega over bar (+), Omega (-), Omega (+), Lambda over bar + ε = 200 GeV and showed that the production of hadrons is higher in Cu + Cu collisions than in Au + Au collisions at the same center-of-mass energy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurements of Phi Meson Production in Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collisions at the BNL Relativistic Heavy ION Collider (RHIC)

B. I. Abelev, +371 more
- 15 Jun 2009 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present results for the measurement of phi meson production via its charged kaon decay channel at the BNL Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC).
