Journal ArticleDOI
Bisecting GlcNAc restricts conformations of branches in model N-glycans with GlcNAc termini.
TL;DR: A systematic NMR structural analysis was performed on two pairs of synthetic N-glycans, finding that restriction of branch conformations by bisecting GlcNAc has important consequences for protein-glycan interplay and following biological events.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chemical Synthesis of Residue-Selectively 13C and 2H Double-Isotope-Labeled Oligosaccharides as Chemical Probes for the NMR-Based Conformational Analysis of Oligosaccharides.
TL;DR: 1H NMR measurements of double isotope-labeled compounds can provide a great deal of information on the dihedral angles across glycosidic linkages and are demonstrated in the conformational analyses of some linear and branched β(1,3)-glucan oligosaccharides.
Book ChapterDOI
Biophysical Analyses for Probing Glycan-Protein Interactions.
TL;DR: This chapter introduces a workflow of glycan-protein interaction analysis consisting of six steps: preparation of lectin and glycan, screening of gly can ligand, determination of binding epitope, quantitative interaction analysis, 3D structural analysis, and molecular dynamics simulation.
