A terrestrial planet in a ~1-AU orbit around one member of a ∼15-AU binary

Andrew Gould, +68 more
- 04 Jul 2014 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a cold terrestrial planet orbiting one member of a binary star system was detected using gravitational microlensing, and the planet has low mass (twice Earth's) and lies projected at ~0.8 astronomical units (AU) from its host star, about the distance between Earth and the Sun.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microlensing discovery of a tight, low-mass-ratio planetary-mass object around an old field brown dwarf

Chang S. Han, +73 more
TL;DR: The OGLE-2012-BLG-0358Lb system as discussed by the authors is a relatively tightly separated binary composed of a planetary-mass object with 1.9 ± 0.2 Jupiter masses orbiting a BD with a mass 0.022 M ☉.
Journal ArticleDOI

The first Neptune analog or super-earth with a Neptune-like orbit : MOA-2013-BLG-605LB

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented the discovery of the first Neptune analog exoplanet or super-Earth with a Neptune-like orbit, MOA-2013-BLG-605Lb.
