Lipid peroxidation and cell death mechanisms in pulmonary epithelial cells induced by peroxynitrite and nitric oxide
Yuan Soon Ho,Hung Bin Liou,Jen-Kun Lin,Jiiang-Huei Jeng,Min-Hsiung Pan,Yu Ping Lin,How Ran Guo,Sheng Yow Ho,Ching Chang Lee,Ying Jan Wang +9 more
TL;DR: The results showed that ONOO– is able to induce lipid peroxidation in pulmonary epithelial cells in a dose-dependent manner, and 8-Epi-prostaglandin F2α can serve as a good biomarker of lipidperoxidation both in vitro and in vivo.
Journal ArticleDOI
Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor-C Upregulates Cortactin and Promotes Metastasis of Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Chih Ming Su,Yen-Hao Su,Yen-Hao Su,Ching Feng Chiu,Yi Wen Chang,Yi Wen Chang,Yi Wen Chang,Chih Chen Hong,Yang Hao Yu,Yuan Soon Ho,Chih Hsiung Wu,Chia Sheng Yen,Jen Liang Su +12 more
TL;DR: Findings suggest that CTTN may be a crucial mediator of VEGF-C-involved ESCC metastasis, which provides a potential target for diagnosis and individualized treatment in clinical practice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Proteasome 26S Subunit, non-ATPase 3 (PSMD3) Regulates Breast Cancer by Stabilizing HER2 from Degradation.
Abdul-Fattah Salah Fararjeh,Li Ching Chen,Yuan Soon Ho,Tzu Chun Cheng,Yun Ru Liu,Hang Lung Chang,Hui Wen Chang,Chih Hsiung Wu,Shih Hsin Tu +8 more
TL;DR: Overall, this study provides a novel function for PSMD3 in stabilizing HER2 from degradation in HER2+ BC, which suggests that PS MD3 is a novel target for HER2- BC.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hepatotoxicity and hepatocarcinogenicity in rats fed squid with or without exogenous nitrite
Jen-Kun Lin,Yuan Soon Ho +1 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that another major naturally occurring amine in squid, TMAO, could be one of the important factors involved in the induction of hepatotoxicity and hepatocarcinogenicity in rats.
Journal ArticleDOI
Long-Term Ethanol Exposure-Induced Hepatocellular Carcinoma Cell Migration and Invasion through Lysyl Oxidase Activation Are Attenuated by Combined Treatment with Pterostilbene and Curcumin Analogues
Ching Shui Huang,Chi-Tang Ho,Shih Hsin Tu,Min-Hsiung Pan,Chien Hui Chuang,Hui Wen Chang,Chien Hsi Chang,Chih Hsiung Wu,Yuan Soon Ho +8 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that targeting LOX expression with food components such as PSB and curcumin may be a novel strategy to overcome ethanol-induced HCC cell metastasis in liver cancer patients.
