Journal ArticleDOI

New hyperbranched polyaryleneethynylene containing azobenzenechromophore moieties in the main chain: facile synthesis, large optical nonlinearity and high thermal stability

TL;DR: In this paper, a new main-chain NLO hyperbranched polymer (P1) was first prepared through a simple synthetic route, which demonstrated much better NLO properties (d33 value up to 143.8 pm/V) than its corresponding linear analogue (P2), since the threedimensional spatial isolation from the highly branched structure could greatly enhance the poling efficiency.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of nanostructure on clean energy: big solutions gained from small features

TL;DR: In this article, the authors focus on recent advances of functional nanomaterials in clean energy applications, including solar energy conversion, water splitting, photodegradation, electrochemical energy conversion and storage, and thermoelectric conversion, which have attracted considerable interests in the regime of clean energy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Competitive adsorption of tylosin, sulfamethoxazole and Cu(II) on nano-hydroxyapatitemodified biochar in water.

TL;DR: Electrostatic interaction and H-bond were the two main interactions between TYL, SMX and Cu(II) and nHAP@biochar and the adsorption of Cu( II) increased to a greater extent.
Journal ArticleDOI

Controllable synthesis of Ag–CuO composite nanosheets with enhanced photocatalytic property

TL;DR: In this paper, the number of Ag nanoparticles grown on CuO nanosheets can be well controlled by tuning the reaction time, which shows a significant enhancement in the photocatalytic property in comparison to pure CuO as demonstrated in photodegradation of methyl orange (MO).
Journal ArticleDOI

New perylene diimide derivatives: stable red emission, adjustable property from ACQ to AIE, and good device performance with an EQE value of 4.93%

TL;DR: In this article, six perylene bisimide-based red emitters are synthesized through the convenient Suzuki coupling reaction, in which, the fluorescent properties can be modified easily from ACQ to AIE by just simply changing the bulky volume of the introduced aromatic substituents.
