Recyclable mechanoluminescent luminogen: different polymorphs, different self-assembly effects of the thiophene moiety and recovered molecular packing via simple thermal-treatment

TL;DR: In this paper, a purely organic recyclable mechanoluminescent luminogen (tPE-5-MeTh) with the combination of an AIEgen and a thiophene group as the selfassembly unit was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Janus second-order nonlinear optical dendrimers: their controllable molecular topology and corresponding largely enhanced performance

TL;DR: In this paper, a new type of Janus dendrimers, consisting of two different side dendrons with the dipole orientation of the second-order nonlinear optical (NLO) chromophore moieties partially in a non-centrosymmetric direction, was designed and synthesized in order to enhance the macroscopic NLO performance and break through the limitation of NLO efficiency in the current molecular topological structure of azo chromophores-based polymers.
Journal ArticleDOI

Super-Paramagnetic Particles Chemically Bound to Luminescent Diamond: Single Nanocrystals Probed with Optically Detected Magnetic Resonance

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors synthesized novel composite particles made of single-domain nanomagnets chemically bound to nanocrystals of diamond and observed the saturation of their magnetization when an external field of a few tens of mT has been applied.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-generation second-order nonlinear optical (NLO) Dendrimers that contain isolation chromophores: convenient synthesis by using click chemistry and their increased NLO effects.

TL;DR: High-generation dendrimers G4-NS and G5-NS, which contained 30 and 62 azo-benzene chromophore moieties, were conveniently prepared in high purity and satisfied yields by a combination of divergent and convergent approaches, coupled with the utilization of the powerful Sharpless click reaction.
Journal ArticleDOI

High performance visible light driven photocatalysts silver halides and graphitic carbon nitride (X=Cl, Br, I) nanocomposites.

TL;DR: Novel visible light-driven phtotocatalysts composed by silver halides and graphitic carbon nitride showed significant enhancement in photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange under the irradiation of visible light.
