Synthesis of PbS nanocrystallites by electron beam irradiation

TL;DR: In this paper, a probable mechanism for the formation of nanocrystalline PbS particles is proposed, which is based on electron beam irradiating poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)-thioacetamide (C 2 H 5 NS)-isopropyl alcohol (IPA) aqueous solution containing lead acetate (Pb(CH 3 COO) 2 ·3H 2 O) with the absorbed dose of 350 kGy at room temperature.

TL;DR: It is suggested that PGC-1α is a protective factor against PbAc-induced oxidative stress and energy metabolism dysfunction in the mouse reproductive system, thereby holding the potential of being developed as a preventive or therapeutic strategy against disorders induced by lead exposure.
