Adaptive Polymersome and Micelle Morphologies in Anticancer Nanomedicine: From Design Rationale to Fabrication and Proof-of-Concept Studies

TL;DR: Adapt morphologies based on block copolymers as platforms for therapeutic and smart drug delivery applications, including design rationale and controlling the morphology of polymeric nanoparticles are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dual bio-responsive gene delivery via reducible poly(amido amine) and survivin-inducible plasmid DNA

TL;DR: A dual bio-responsive gene delivery system was developed by using bioreducible p(ABOL) for enhanced intracellular gene delivery and survivin-inducible gene expression system (pSur-sFlt-1 or pSUR-Luc reporter gene) that demonstrates increased gene expression in cancer that has advantages over current gene delivery systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

HER2-Specific Reduction-Sensitive Immunopolymersomes with High Loading of Epirubicin for Targeted Treatment of Ovarian Tumor.

TL;DR: In vitro studies revealed that Trastuzumab-decorated disulfide-crosslinked polymersomes (Tra-Ps) with long-term storage stability could rapidly release drugs under a reductive condition and efficiently deliver large amount of EPI•HCl to HER2-positive SKOV-3 cells, leading to stronger cytotoxicity than the non-targeted Ps-EPI.
Journal ArticleDOI

Protein release from injectable stereocomplexed hydrogels based on PEG–PDLA and PEG–PLLA star block copolymers

TL;DR: The release of two model proteins, lysozyme and immunoglobulin G (IgG) from injectable, fast gelling, biodegradable hydrogels composed of PEG–PLLA and PEG-PDLA star block copolymers was investigated.
