TL;DR: Findings indicate that vegetables can be potential source of parasitic infection and there is a need to be vigilant in ensuring that foodstuffs sold in market systems are safe and fit for consumption.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used a definitive screening design of experiment to provide an acceptable prediction on the effects of key process parameters such as temperature, reaction time, and solvent-to-solid ratio to obtainable fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) yield and process power consumption.

TL;DR: In this paper, a systematic study of the most stable configurations, calculation of the corresponding binding and free energies of functionalized 3D transition metals (TMs) on (10,0) Single Walled Carbon Nanotube (SWCNT) doped with porphyrin-like nitrogen defects (4ND-CNxNT) using spin-polarized density functional theory (DFT) formalism with flavors of LDA and GGA exchange-correlation (XC) functionals has been made.
Abstract: A systematic study of the most stable configurations, calculation of the corresponding binding and free energies of functionalized 3d transition metals (TMs) on (10,0) Single Walled Carbon Nanotube (SWCNT) doped with porphyrin-like nitrogen defects (4ND-CNxNT) using spin-polarized density functional theory (DFT) formalism with flavours of LDA and GGA exchange-correlation (XC) functionals has been made. A thorough analysis showed that the electronic and magnetic properties of SWCNT are dependent on the TMs absorbed wherein, the composite material TM/4ND-CNxNT can act as a medium for storing hydrogen at room temperature manifested through favourable adsorption energy.

TL;DR: Ng et al. as mentioned in this paper presented a numerical technique for determining the minimum fresh water and wastewater flowrates as well as the minimum regeneration flowrate in a water network with regeneration units of fixed outlet concentration model.
Abstract: In our earlier work [Ng, D.K.S., Foo, D.C.Y., Tan, Y.L. and Tan, R.R., 2007, Ultimate flowrate targeting with regeneration placement. Trans IChemE, Part A, Chem Eng Res Des, 85 (A9): 1253–1267], a numerical technique was presented for determining the minimum fresh water and wastewater flowrates as well as the minimum regeneration flowrate in a water network with regeneration units of fixed outlet concentration model. The term ultimate targets were introduced to denote the minimum water flowrates. However, in some special cases, the proposed procedure does not lead to the correct ultimate water targets. In this work, the limitations of the procedure are first discussed, an extension is then proposed that arrives at the correct solution for more general cases.
