TL;DR: A new class of models of hysteretic converters is proposed, generalizing the classical backlash definition to the case where the curves defining it are non-deterministic and have a random distribution, which can determine the output at an arbitrary continuous input.
Abstract: A new class of models of hysteretic converters, generalizing the classical backlash definition to the case where the curves defining it are non-deterministic and have a random distribution, is proposed. In this case, the output of the stochastic converter is defined as a random process. The correctness of the definition of the corresponding converter in terms of a special limit construction is proved. Using such a definition, we can determine the output at an arbitrary continuous input. The properties of the introduced converters are investigated and explicit analytic relations determining the first and second moment (as functions of the corresponding parameters) are presented together with illustrative examples.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors study the Mw 5.6 Bystraya earthquake and its largest aftershock, which occurred on September 21, 2020 at the SW flank of the Baikal rift zone in the area, in which only few small seismic events have been detected during the whole period of instrumental observations.

TL;DR: The results suggested that the precipitation in the early growth season had an important effect on the accumulation of volatile oil, but the effects were not the same, which showed that the universal prediction model had an effective predictive ability.

TL;DR: In this paper, a revised earthquake catalog has been compiled for the White Sea region for the period between 2005 and 2016 using a single velocity model (BARENTS), a single methodological approach (Generalized Beamforming), and all available raw data and bulletins of Russian and foreign seismic stations.
Abstract: A revised earthquake catalog has been compiled for the White Sea region for the period between 2005 and 2016. The earthquake parameters were revised using a single velocity model (BARENTS), a single methodological approach (Generalized Beamforming), and all available raw data and bulletins of Russian and foreign seismic stations. The location of two nuclear explosions detonated on July 18, 1985 and September 6, 1988 in northern European Russia for civilian purposes showed that the algorithm for calculating hypocenter parameters combined with the BARENTS velocity model is an effective tool. The resulting earthquake catalog enabled us to reveal the leading patterns in the distribution of recent seismicity in the White Sea region.

TL;DR: High-speed interpolated sampling for ground-penetrating RADAR (GPR) is proposed in this paper. But the sampling is performed at high speed and the phase of the interpolation is shuffled to avoid producing discrete spectral lines in the radiated RADAR signal.
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed technology use high-speed interpolated (interdigitated) sampling for the specific purpose of GPR (Ground-Penetrating RADAR). This technology solves several issues associated with high-speed sampling in GPR which included 1) dynamic range limitations, 2) regulatory compliance issues, 3) sampler core offset error, and 4) timing errors. High-speed interpolated sampling GPR is implemented using a high-speed ADC in combination with trigger logic (such as an FPGA) and a programmable delay generator. The FPGA or other trigger logic generates a series of randomly dithered trigger pulses. A variable delay generator (or “Vernier”) is synchronously controlled in order to produce the fractional timing. The timing of the pulses is randomly or pseudo-randomly dithered, and the phase of the interpolation is shuffled in order to avoid producing discrete spectral lines in the radiated RADAR signal.
