TL;DR: A new representation of solutions to the equation −y′′+q(x)y=ω2y is obtained that allows one to compute large sets of eigendata with a nondeteriorating accuracy.

TL;DR: Martinez-Prado et al. as discussed by the authors found that the type of cytokines present in the semen will depend on the single or simultaneous presence of leukocytes and/or pathogens.
Abstract: Citation Martinez-Prado E, Bermudez MIC Expression of IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α, IL-10, HSP-60, anti-HSP-60 antibodies, and anti-sperm antibodies, in semen of men with leukocytes and/or bacteria Am J Reprod Immunol 2010; 63: 233–243
Problem Different cellular and biochemical markers have been proposed as indicators of infection-inflammation of male genital tract
Method of study Semen samples from 80 men attending an andrologic clinic were evaluated to determine the presence of leukocyte, bacteria, antibodies against Chlamydia trachomatis, levels of IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, and TNF-α, HSP-60, anti-HSP-60 antibodies, and anti-sperm antibodies
Results Leukocytes in semen significantly correlated with an increase in IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α The simultaneous presence of pathogens and leukocytes was associated with high levels of IL-8 and TNF-α, whereas IL-6 was more associated with the presence of leukocytes Anti-HSP-60 antibodies positively correlated with IL-6 and IL-8 The presence of anti-sperm antibodies highly associated with an increase in anti-HSP-60 antibodies
Conclusions The type of cytokines present in the semen will depend on the single or simultaneous presence of leukocytes and/or pathogens Chronic male genital tract infections could be associated with the development of anti-HSP-60 antibodies and anti-sperm antibodies

TL;DR: By using the gravitational decoupling through the minimal geometric deformation approach (MGD-decoupling), the authors showed a simple and powerful approach to generate physically acceptable exact analytical solutions for anisotropic stellar distributions in general relativity.
Abstract: By using the gravitational decoupling through the minimal geometric deformation approach (MGD-decoupling), we show a simple and powerful approach to generate physically acceptable exact analytical solutions for anisotropic stellar distributions in general relativity. We find that some perfect fluid configurations could be incompatible with anisotropic effects produced by scalar fields.

01 Feb 1996TL;DR: In this article, the intrinsic model parameters of a semiconductor device were extracted from its experimental extrinsic forward I-V characteristics, independently of the parasitic resistance that might be present in series within the real device.
Abstract: A new method is presented that permits the extraction of a semiconductor device's intrinsic model parameters from its experimental extrinsic forward I-V characteristics, independently of the parasitic resistance that might be present in series within the real device. The extraction is performed from an auxiliary function which contains the integral of the experimentally measured data. Integrating the data also serves as a smoothing procedure. The diode quality factor, reverse current and series resistance parameters of a single exponential diode model are extracted from a real p-n junction diode in order to illustrate the method.
