23 Mar 1990TL;DR: In this article, an electrophoresis system which separates charged chemical substances by means of applying an electrical potential across a buffer solution which includes those chemical substances is described, and the system of the invention includes a power supply and control system which has a wide dynamic range of constant voltage, current and power which may be supplied.
Abstract: The invention provides an electrophoresis system which separates charged chemical substances by means of applying an electrical potential across a buffer solution which includes those chemical substances. The system of the invention includes a power supply and control system which has a wide dynamic range of constant voltage, current and power which may be supplied, and is therefore particularly suited to the needs of the electrophoresis system. In the invention, the power supply includes a flyback topology and a control system which allows an operator to specify a wide range of constant voltage, current or power supply requirements for the electrophoresis system.

29 Mar 2002TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a method of titering adeno-associated virus particles in a sample, comprising the steps of contacting target cells with a DNA synthesis inhibitor and an agent that increases the activity of the CMV immediate early promoter.
Abstract: A method of titering adeno-associated virus particles in a sample, said method comprising the steps of contacting target cells with a DNA synthesis inhibitor and an agent that increases the activity of the CMV immediate early promoter; contacting target cells treated as in step (a) with a sample containing adeno-associated virus particles; and determining the number of target cells infected by said adeno-associated virus particles in said sample, wherein said number of target cells infected is directly proportional to the titer of said particles in said sample, thereby determining the titer if said adeno-associated virus particles.

20 Jun 2003TL;DR: In this article, a method of selectively cloning homoduplex nucleic acid molecules, in particular by using a strain of host cells that contains a conditionally expressed and/or conditionally active mismatch-recognizing enzyme, e.g., a temperature sensitive variant of the gene encoding the endonuclease VII from phage T4.
Abstract: The subject invention provides for a method of selectively cloning homoduplex nucleic acid molecules, in particular, by using a strain of host cells that contains a conditionally expressed and/or conditionally active mismatch-recognizing enzyme, e.g., a temperature sensitive variant of the gene encoding the endonuclease VII from phage T4. Using this host strain, the invention features a novel cloning method that selects for PCR products that are devoid of PCR-generated mutations.

25 May 2005TL;DR: In this paper, a mutant DNA 5 polymerase exhibiting increased reverse transcriptase activity was used for composition, kits and methods of generating modified cDNA, and the present invention relates to composition, kit and methods.
Abstract: The present invention relates to composition, kits and methods comprising a mutant DNA 5 polymerase exhibiting increased reverse transcriptase activity. The invention also relates to methods of generating modified cDNA.
