Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this article, the authors quantified oxygen content in sediment pore water with a dissolved oxygen (DO) probe, utilizing luminescent technology, to determine how DO concentration varies with depth in the sediment, and with position relative to the aRPD (above versus below) on an intertidal mudflat in the Bay of Fundy, Canada.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this article, a non-uniform, layer-based morphodynamic model is presented which is composed of a combination of three modules: a hydrodynamic model governed by the two-dimensional shallow water equations involving sediment effects; a sediment transport model controlling the mass conservation of sediment; and a bed deformation model for updating the bed elevation.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this paper, a mixed Cell-Centered and Node-Center Finite-Volume discretization, which makes use of an unstructured triangular mesh and allows the slope in each cell to be univocally defined, is proposed.

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors used the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) with Geographic Information System (GIS) technology to model soil erosion and sediment transportation in the Jialing River Basin.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this article, the failure modes of three different cascades of landslide dams fully or partially blocking a channel river are parametrically studied, and experimental tests are conducted in sloping channels mimicking field conditions, with the modeled landslide dams distributed along a sloping channel and crushed by different upstream flows.

Journal ArticleDOI
