TLDR
It is shown that systems in which transmitter powers are subject to maximum power limitations share these common properties, which permit a general proof of the synchronous and totally asynchronous convergence of the iteration p(t+1)=I(p(t)) to a unique fixed point at which total transmitted power is minimized.

NOMA Aided Interference Management for Full-Duplex Self-Backhauling HetNets

TL;DR: This letter develops a two-tier non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) scheme together with efficient power control to enable aggressive frequency reuse and alleviate co-channel interference, and demonstrates that NOMA is in particular favorable for the high-demand cases in power savings.

On selfish and malicious behaviors in wireless networks - a non-cooperative game theoretic approach

Lin Chen
TL;DR: The thesis introduces an axis of research where non-cooperative game theory is applied as a systematical framework to model and analyze selfish and malicious behaviors in wireless networks and designs efficient protocols based on the modeling results to cope with them.

Spectral efficiency improvements in HetNets by exploiting device-to-device communications

TL;DR: Simulation results show that D2D communication offers much higher spectral efficiency as compared to traditional HetNet, and analyzed and compared the spectral efficiency improvements in hierarchical Het net against traditional HentNet.

Multi-User Resource Allocation for Downlink Multi-Cluster Multicarrier DS CDMA System

TL;DR: This paper considers an adaptive multi-user resource allocation for the downlink transmission of a multi-cluster tactical multicarrier DS CDMA network and proposes a simple iterative bisection algorithm, which significantly reduces the computational complexity.

Interference Cooperation via Distributed Game in 5G Networks

TL;DR: This work designs a novel framework of Nash noncooperative game with iterative convergence for downlink MU-MIMO, and derives the sufficient condition for the existence and uniqueness of WFPGP game, in which the verification of the necessary condition can be executed in a distributed manner.

On the capacity of a cellular CDMA system

TL;DR: In this paper, the interference-suppression feature of CDMA (code division multiple access) can result in a many-fold increase in capacity over analog and even over competing digital techniques.

On the capacity of a cellular CDMA system

TL;DR: It is concluded that properly augmented and power-controlled multiple-cell CDMA (code division multiple access) promises a quantum increase in current cellular capacity.

A simple distributed autonomous power control algorithm and its convergence

TL;DR: For wireless cellular communication systems, one seeks a simple effective means of power control of signals associated with randomly dispersed users that are reusing a single channel in different cells, and the authors demonstrate exponentially fast convergence to these settings whenever power settings exist for which all users meet the rho requirement.

Parallel and distributed computation

TL;DR: This book focuses on numerical algorithms suited for parallelization for solving systems of equations and optimization problems, with emphasis on relaxation methods of the Jacobi and Gauss-Seidel type.

Performance of optimum transmitter power control in cellular radio systems

TL;DR: In order to derive upper performance bounds for transmitter power control schemes, algorithms that are optimum in the sense that the interference probability is minimized are suggested.
