A GIS-base exploration of the relationships between open space systems and urban form for the adaptive capacity of cities after an earthquake: The cases of two Chilean cities

TLDR
In this article, the authors explored the relationship between an open space system and the urban form by focussing on the spatial context of two Chilean cities affected by earthquakes and found that the regularity of the grid and city density affect the adaptive capacity of cities, hence, resilience.

Resilient urban forms: A review of literature on streets and street networks

TL;DR: In this article, a review of the theoretical discussions and empirical evidence on how design and configuration of urban streets and street networks can contribute to/detract from urban resilience is presented, where measures related to urban streets are divided into two broad categories: network topology and design and orientation.

Urban form resilience: A meso-scale analysis

Ayyoob Sharifi
- 01 Oct 2019 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explored how meso-scale urban form elements can affect urban resilience through synthesizing theoretical and empirical evidence reported in the literature and concluded that each element influences and is influenced by other elements in the urban system and different elements should not be studied in isolation.

Humanitarian Charter And Minimum Standards In Disaster Response

Tanja Neumann
TL;DR: In this article, a humanitarian charter and minimum standards in disaster response are recommended for disaster response, but people download them hundreds of times for their chosen books, but end up in harmful downloads, instead of reading a good book with a cup of coffee in the afternoon.

Exploring spatiotemporal patterns of electric power consumption in countries along the Belt and Road

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors investigated spatiotemporal patterns of electric power consumption (EPC) in the Belt and Road countries from multiple perspectives, and found that the EPC growth mainly occurs in the developing countries, especially in China.
