Abstract
The synthesis and characterization of μ-η 2 :η 2 peroxo dinuclear copper(II) complexes which to oxyhemocyanin (or oxytyrosinase) in their physicochemical properties are presented. The low-temperature reaction of a di-μ-hydroxo copper(II) complex [Cu(HB(3,5-i-Pr 2 pz) 3 )] 2 (OH) 2 (8) with H 2 O 2 gave a μ-peroxo complex [Cu(HB(3,5-i-Pr 2 pz) 3 )] 2 (O 2 ) (6)

Structure and spectra of dicopper(I) dioxygen species and their ammino complexes studied by ab initio calculations

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors performed ab initio calculations on the species resulting from the co-ordination of molecular oxygen to two Cu(I) centers and found that the highest symmetry structure of [Cu 2 O 2 ] 2+ species in a closed shell singlet state was found to be the lowest energy one (the global minimum) on the six-dimensional hypersurface.

A synthetic quest for tris(imidazolyl) carboxylates and their metal complexes: active site models for quercetin 2,3-dioxygenases and other non-heme redox metalloenzymes

TL;DR: Synthetic routes to tris(imidazolyl)carboxylate ligands and representative metal complexes are reported, which provide more accurate active site models for several classes of redox metalloenzymes as mentioned in this paper.
