Journal ArticleDOI

Diagnostic value of immunostaining for tryptase in patients with mastocytosis.

TL;DR: Tissue sections from 93 patients with mastocytosis were stained with antitryptase antibody G3, and tryptase, Giemsa, and CAE produced diagnostic staining of MCs in virtually all cases of systemic indolent mastocyTosis, urticaria pigmentosa, and solitary skinmastocytoma.
Journal ArticleDOI

Blastoid Variants of Mantle Cell Lymphoma: Frequent bcl-1 Rearrangements at the Major Translocation Cluster Region and Tetraploid Chromosome Clones

TL;DR: The data indicate that, although characterized by a uniform immunophenotype and common biologic background, MCL shows a broad spectrum of morphologic features ranging from small cell to blastoid types and that the morphologic spectrum is mirrored by distinct biologic features.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lymphomas expressing ALK fusion protein(s) other than NPM-ALK.

TL;DR: The results suggest that lymphomas carrying variants of the NPM-ALK fusion protein can be detected by immunostaining for ALK and NPM and also that they can be grouped with classical t(2;5)-positive tumors as a single entity that shows a better prognosis than ALK-negative anaplastic large-cell lymphomas.
Journal ArticleDOI

Primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma. A clinicopathologic study of 141 cases compared with 916 nonmediastinal large B-cell lymphomas, a GELA ("Groupe d'Etude des Lymphomes de l'Adulte") study.

TL;DR: PMLCL can be combined with other diffuse large B-cell lymphomas on morphologic grounds; it is not associated with EBV and should be managed like other high-grade lymphomas of equivalent histology.
Journal ArticleDOI

A morphological study of 608 cases of canine malignant lymphoma in France with a focus on comparative similarities between canine and human lymphoma morphology.

TL;DR: Some B-cell tumors showed morphologic characteristics consistent with follicular lymphomas and marginal zone lymphomas per the Revised European American Classification of Lymphoid Neoplasms and WHO canine classification systems and the WHO human classification system.
