TLDR
This poster aims to demonstrate the efforts towards in-situ applicability of EMMARM, which aims to provide real-time information about the immune response to the SARs-CoV-2 virus.
Abstract
Notwithstanding that most biomedical research today focuses on the pandemic caused by the SARs-CoV-2 virus, there are many unresolved diseases that are almost forgotten worldwide [...].

Experimental transmission of Sparicotyle chrysophrii (Monogenea: Polyopisthocotylea) to gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata) and histopathology of the infection

TL;DR: The polyopisthocotylean Sparicotyle chrysophrii was experimentally transmitted to gilthead seabream by exposure to eggs and by cohabitation with naturally parasitized fish, and the histopathological effects of the monogenean on the gills of naturally infected fish consisted of lamellar shortening, clubbing and synechiae.

Entamoeba histolytica EhGEF1 structure and mutational analysis: New specific residues critical for function

TL;DR: The functional studies of the protein EhGEF1 mutants in the conserved residues Thr194Ala, Asn366Ala and Glu367Ala indicated that contrary to what has been reported for other systems, the mutation of these residues did not alter considerably its catalytic activity.

Hypothesis about : cleavage furrow- pressure differences determine cleavage furrow position

TL;DR: This paper aims to provide a history of the publication of this work and some of the key events leading up to and including its publication in March 2014.

Immunosuppression in Malaria: Do Plasmodium falciparum Parasites Hijack the Host?

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors summarize the current evidence on how malaria parasites may directly and indirectly induce immunosuppression and investigate the potential role of specific cell types, effector molecules and other immunoregulatory factors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Trichuris muris Model: Role in Understanding Intestinal Immune Response, Inflammation and Host Defense

TL;DR: In this article, the authors reviewed the different immune responses generated by innate and adaptive immune components during acute and chronic T. muris infections and discussed the importance of studying T. trichuris trichiura interaction in the context of alteration in the host's microbiota, intestinal barrier, inflammation, and host defense, and in parasite infection-mediated modulation of other immune and inflammatory diseases.

Enteric Tuft Cells in Host-Parasite Interactions.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors highlight the versatility of enteric tuft cells and sub-types thereof, showcasing nuances of tuft cell responses to different parasites, with a focus on helminths reflecting the current state of the field.

Tick Immunobiology and Extracellular Traps: An Integrative Vision to Control of Vectors.

TL;DR: In this article, the actors of these responses are the object of a study in this review since they are new targets in anti-tick vaccine design, and they present their role in the immune response that positions them as feasible targets that can be blocked, inhibited, interfered with, and overexpressed.

Tamoxifen Suppresses the Immune Response to Plasmodium berghei ANKA and Exacerbates Symptomatology.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the effect of tamoxifen on the immune response of CBA/Ca mice against Plasmodium berghei ANKA and found that tamoxifier increased parasite load, aggravated symptoms by decreasing body temperature and body weight, and worsened anaemia.
