TLDR
A new enzyme, which catalyses the conversion of the cytokinin zeatin to the alanine conjugate l upinic acid, has been partly purified from developing lupin seed and the possible role of the enzyme, tentatively called β-(9-cytokinin)alanine synthase or lupinic acid synthase, in the regulation of hormone activity is discussed.

TL;DR: The results are similar to those of previous studies, where the objective was to establish a cause-and-effect relationship, rather than a straightforward relationship between the number of cells and the content of the molecule.

Association of the α and β2 Subunits of the Tryptophan Synthetase of Escherichia coli

TL;DR: The results indicate that the fully associated enzyme (α2β2) has a sedimentation coefficient of 6.4S and is in relatively rapid equilibrium with the free subunits, consistent with the reversible binding of individual α subunits to two identical and independent sites on the β2 subunit.

TL;DR: In this article, the radioactivity in the xylem sap of intact seedlings, supplied with [(3)H]zeatin via the roots, was largely due to Zeatin, dihydrozeatin and zeatin riboside.
