TLDR
Results from studies in animal models suggest that specific subtypes of breast cancer may direct metastasis through recruitment and activation of haematopoietic cells, and data implicating breast cancer as a systemic disease is focused on.Abstract:
Breast cancer is now the most frequently diagnosed cancer and leading cause of cancer death in women worldwide. Strategies targeting the primary tumour have markedly improved, but systemic treatments to prevent metastasis are less effective; metastatic disease remains the underlying cause of death in the majority of patients with breast cancer who succumb to their disease. The long latency period between initial treatment and eventual recurrence in some patients suggests that a tumour may both alter and respond to the host systemic environment to facilitate and sustain disease progression. Results from studies in animal models suggest that specific subtypes of breast cancer may direct metastasis through recruitment and activation of haematopoietic cells. In this review, we focus on data implicating breast cancer as a systemic disease.read more

Multifunctional Nanocarriers for Cancer Therapy
TL;DR: The new nanocarrier enters cells more efficiently through the sigma 2 receptor, and it can serve as a diagnostic tool through PET (Positron emission tomography), and the study shows that it is able to detect all the spontaneously lung tumors.

Sauchinone inhibits the proliferation, migration and invasion of breast cancer cells by suppressing Akt-CREB-MMP13 signaling pathway.
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of sauchinone on the growth of breast cancer cells along with the underlying molecular mechanisms were investigated, and it was shown that sachinone treatment markedly inhibited the proliferation, migration, and invasion of cancer cells.

TL;DR: In this article , a hybrid membrane camouflaged poly lactic-co-glycolic acid (PLGA) nanosystem was developed for tumor-targeted delivery of capsaicin (Cap) to improve the tumor hypoxic microenvironment via dilating tumor blood vessels with oxygenation and promote the accumulation of nano-drugs in the tumor.

Understanding Cancer Cell Behavior Through 3D Printed Bone Microenvironments
TL;DR: 3D bioprinted models that serve as a predictive model for understanding mechanisms leading to cancer cell metastasis, permit real-time study of cell–cell interactions, enable the analysis of growth factors and cytokine expression that supports tumor cell growth or survival, and the molecular cross-talk between tumor and stromal cells are described.

Healthcare providers’ perspectives of the supportive care needs of women with advanced breast cancer in Ghana
TL;DR: A qualitative descriptive approach was employed via one-to-one semi-structured interviews with 13 HCPs and key informants of charitable/NGOs in Ghana that provide supportive care services to women with advanced breast cancer as discussed by the authors .

TL;DR: Survival analyses on a subcohort of patients with locally advanced breast cancer uniformly treated in a prospective study showed significantly different outcomes for the patients belonging to the various groups, including a poor prognosis for the basal-like subtype and a significant difference in outcome for the two estrogen receptor-positive groups.
