Chaotic hypothesis: Onsager reciprocity and fluctuation-dissipation theorem

Giovanni Gallavotti

TLDR
In this article, it was shown that the chaoticity hypothesis, which is analogous to Ruelle's principle for turbulence, implies Onsager reciprocity and fluctuation-dissipation theorem in reversible models for coexisting transport phenomena.
Abstract
It is shown that the chaoticity hypothesis recently introduced in statistical mechanics, which is analogous to Ruelle's principle for turbulence, implies the Onsager reciprocity and the fluctuation-dissipation theorem in various reversible models for coexisting transport phenomena.

A gallavotti-cohen-type symmetry in the large deviation functional for stochastic dynamics

TL;DR: In this article, the authors extend the work of Kurchan on the Gallavotti-Cohen fluctuation theorem, which yields a symmetry property of the large deviation function, to general Markov processes.

Nonequilibrium fluctuations, fluctuation theorems, and counting statistics in quantum systems

TL;DR: Fluctuation theorems (FTs) as discussed by the authors describe some universal properties of nonequilibrium fluctuations and are derived from a quantum perspective by introducing a two-point measurement on the system.

Non-equilibrium steady states: fluctuations and large deviations of the density and of the current

TL;DR: In this paper, a short review of matrix ansatz, the additivity principle or macroscopic fluctuation theory, developed recently in the theory of non-equilibrium phenomena is given.

Heat transport in low-dimensional systems

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present results on theoretical studies of heat conduction in low-dimensional systems, including lattice models corresponding to phononic systems, and some on hard-particle and hard-disc systems.

The Fluctuation Theorem as a Gibbs Property

TL;DR: In this article, the Gallavotti-Cohen fluctuation theorem is interpreted as a Gibbs property, as follows from the very definition of Gibbs state, and a local version of fluctuation is derived for some class of spatially extended stochastic dynamics.

Reciprocal Relations in Irreversible Processes. II.

TL;DR: In this article, a general reciprocal relation applicable to transport processes such as the conduction of heat and electricity, and diffusion, is derived from the assumption of microscopic reversibility, and certain average products of fluctuations are considered.
