TLDR
A survey of surface reactive oxygen species on oxide materials, which moving on from the Che's pioneering works includes noteworthy results obtained during the years by other researchers, is provided in this article, where the relationship between the thermodynamic and kinetic Bronsted basicity of low coordinated O2−Lc anions is discussed, on the basis of Che's fundamental studies and on recent developments.

Oxygen vacancy enhanced visible light photocatalytic selective oxidation of benzylamine over ultrathin Pd/BiOCl nanosheets

TL;DR: In this paper , two atomic layered BiOCl nanosheets with rich oxygen vacancies were constructed via surface Pd deposition (0.5 wt%) as a multifunctional photocatalyst (Pd 0.5 /NS-OV), which exhibits high conversion (>95%) and precise selectivity (>98%) for coupling to N-benzylidenebenzylamine under visible light irradiation and 1 atm air pressure.
