Minimal modification approach to red-shifted absorption and fluorescence in 1,8-naphthalimides

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of (4-diethylamino-1,8-naphthaloyl)-aminopyridines were prepared with the pyridine nitrogen located at the ortho, meta, and para positions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Insertion of amphiphilic molecules into membranes is catalyzed by a high molecular weight non-ionic surfactant.

TL;DR: In this paper, an amphiphilic fluorescent probe was used to elucidate the mechanism by which a class of oxyethylene-oxypropylene copolymers catalyzes the insertion of hydrophobic or amphipilic molecules into membranes.

Wavelength-Controlled Organic Microlasers Based on Polymorphism-Dependent Intramolecular Charge-Transfer Process

TL;DR: Three different color lasing actions in these three kinds of organic ICT microcystals under two-photon pumping are realized, providing useful insights for the rational design of miniaturized lasers with desired performances.

Single Crystal Preparation of DAST for Terahertz-Wave Generation

TL;DR: In this article, DAST powder for crystal growth was prepared by two synthesis routes including the conventional one and confirmed that purity became indistinguishable after proper recrystallization even using conventional synthesis process, and the highest solubility of DAST was found for methanol-acetonitrile mixture.
