Sorption of Cd(II) and Pb(II) from aqueous solutions onto Agave americana fibers

TL;DR: In this paper, the potential of Agave americana fibers as biosorbent was investigated in batch Pb and Cd(II) removal as a function of pH, initial metal concentration and temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

The influence of the anion type on the anticorrosive behaviour of inorganic phosphates

TL;DR: In this article, a procedure to prepare the pigments is outlined and their anticorrosive properties were evaluated following the electrochemical behavior of a steel electrode in pigments suspensions.

Trimethylsilylverbindungen der Vb‐Elemente. VII.

TL;DR: McCarthy et al. as discussed by the authors studied the crystal structures of lithium bis(trimethylsilyl)bismuthide and showed that the structure of these two compounds is very similar.

Inhibition of steel pitting corrosion in HCl by some inorganic anions

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of different inorganic anions on the corrosion behavior of two different composition steel samples was also studied in HCl solution, and the presence of these anions inhibits the pitting corrosion of steel samples in the order phosphate > molybedate > chromate.
